Ooh! Ooh! Picking up 3 solid white female scovies Sunday. Lady is moving and needs them gone $35 + free bag of feed. was going to butcher, 1 1/2 hours away we go.


Should we clip wings so they don't fly away? They will free range with the rest of the flock hopefully. Don't really want t clip in case shows are open next summer and they havent molted yet, but will if needed.

A couple of the 13 we already have.Choc hen on bench, black drake, pair of pekins.

Are you talking about mine? He was in hatch group that had barred ducklings. He was a light tan wild type duckling. Now, I have to go back and read up on cream...

Yes I was talking about yours. If he was a wild type then he could either be a looney or a ripple. Do you have both ripples and barred in your flock?

Cream is complete lavender and chocolate

Buff is silver and chocolate. Normally buff is darker than cream and more of an even color. It's possible yours is a pied as well which could explain the patchy color.

I am trying to figure out what colour my older male Garfunkel is - I thought he was a regular black pied, but one baby is brown and another is almost a burgundy browny black. Can a black have brown babies ? His current colour is the pied, with bronzy brown, pale brown, black with the green and purple sheen. He is a year old. Thought he was just sun bleached. Cant wait to see what the burgundy baby will grow up to be.
