Hey guys! How are ya? Whew! I didn't realize how much winter prep I had before I started working on it! Paddles and Puddles are growing like weeds!

Its about time to clip their wings, but they haven't quite figured out the whole flap flap = fly thing, so holding off on that for now.

they are so beautiful!

none of my ducks and ducklings fly, they just run and pretend they are flying, lol. I wonder if they are so happy here and don't want to fly away.

My youngsters are beginning to lay and are beating up my experianced girls. My experianced girls are 3-4 years and the youngsters aren't even a year yet. How long do muscovies live for? What about for breeding?

I have a Muscovy drake that will be 12 next March and my oldest female is now 8 and still lays .

I thought they could live way longer :/ like 17 to 20 is what I've read I don't know my source was pretty faulty

these are our new quackers we got yesterday. Francis (left) and Ferdinand (right), they are in a run of their own as they only arrived yesterday and are not ready to be in with the rest of the flock as yet, they seem like lovely birds, very new to Muscovy. not sure if they are boys or girl though lol x

its sad though..they 3 months old..i bought another 5 solid white muscovy ducklings..i hope the female can wait though till those ducklings grow up..i think 2 from 5 duckling is male..i feel sad to see the female is all alone. :'(

You gotta love how hearty these ducks are! The pair of French whites we had when I was tiny were never sick or had any health issues. I love Muscovy!
