So my babies were doing great.  I have had them outside with my bantams and they were doing well.  I wake up to snow this morning and six dead ducklings.  I can't wait to move out of here and get my birds away from this crazy weather.  It's heartbreaking.

Yeah, these were the ones I drove 7 hours for, each way. They were doing so well. I moved them outside as it had warmed up. They were the same size as my Bantam ducks so I put them all in together so predators wouldn't get them. I woke up to snow everywhere and 6 out of 10 babies were dead.

Oh no that's way to young and little to put them out ( in my opinion) even in a cage, if they're still that big they still rely on mamas warmth I'm so sorry for your loss, we all make mistakes and we all learn from them pls keep us updated

I don't put my babies out unless the heat is hot enough for their needs even during the night. I worry they'll get cold.

Yes especially babies that fluff may look warm but it's not real protection from temperatures below the 50s

Yeah they look a fluffy n cozy, but don't really do anything for them
