Like my girl, I'm wondering why they didn't fly off away from the predator?

This is Uno. Hatched about a week ago. Sadly the other 11 didn't make it. We're still not sure what happened with those.

Sorry to hear Uno is the only one. Did you candle the other for internal pips?

I had exactly the same situation!
Last week Thursday one duckling hatched out of 13 eggs.
I just hope it will be OK with other ducks layer in life if not it will have to end up as our dinner...
Gosh, sorry you had a bad go of it also. My first run at hatching Mucovies resulted in only 2 hatches from I think it was 10.

I was really disappointed because those were eggs from my own ducks who laid 13 and they have gone missing...
I put them in the incubator. 6 weren't fertile. Rest were developing nicely but all died before hatching except for one.
Such a shame.
Now I pray my other duck which just went broody this week hatches all of her 10 eggs. I'll give her some aylesbury eggs on Tuesday. So they all hatch on the same day.

I have a female Muscovy who is about 18 weeks old and I was curious about her behaviour.

She is very vocal and will open her mouth, wag her tail and move her had back and forth when she sees you.

Does anyone else have similar experience with their Scovy's?
