Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Hi RichardKutz,
I looked back for an earlier post but didnt see an eye one. Sorry for asking if you already posted but what were the symptoms? Asking because my drake had some bubbles in his eye and I sprayed vetericyn in it for a few days and its been over a month with no further bubbles etc. I was curious, incase it happens again. Hope yours gets better soon. Thanks

My guy always runs over to me when I go outside huffing and puffing, very friendly. When he saw me carrying that blue bottle he would 360 and run off!

180 whatever

The symptoms are white foamy pus in the left eye. I used to use a liquid antibiotic solution for poultry that you mix into the drinking water. It's been over 10 years since I've had to use any though and unfortunately stores don't seem to carry that anymore. Most likely because most poultry farms don't use antibiotics anymore becuase it gets into the eggs and meat and it's bad for business. MicrocynAH Ophthalmic Gel was suggested to me by a vet clinic and supply. It's for eye ailments for all animals.

She's sitting on 20 eggs!!!
Does she look light blue to you then?

I have a weird nesting question. How small of a space can a scovy hen fit through? I have 3 hens and 1 drake. They were 10-12 weeks old when I got them in October, making them about 9 months old. Mating season is definitely upon us, but I haven't found a single egg from any of them yet. However, I noticed yesterday that it looks like something might be squeezing under the addition of our house. The gap under the boards is only about 3" and it just looks way too small. I don't know where else they could be hiding the eggs though. We are preparing to move to a new farm and so everyone is in a fenced area with no other hiding spaces. Thanks for the advice!

Wondering if anyone here has had babies from a lavender drake and chocolate hen? My 1st batch just hatched and I was trying to determine what color they would be. When I started reading it said self blue and chocolate would make all black. Can anyone tell me of this is true or maybe my drake isn't all lavender leaving a different possibilty? Here he is.
