Muscovy keepers share your pics!

hi Muscovy people I am looking for a Muscovy duck for hatching out geese eggs. I can go the egg route and hatch my own out but I need a female the egg route can leave me with all males. any suggestions? I would like to hatch some geese eggs this spring. I recently lost my momma duck and none of the others did not show any signs of going broody. Any help will be greatly appreciated .

I just use co-op cheapest layer crumble feed or Cumberland mills chick feed if available, and sprinkle niacin on for duckletts. They don't need all fancy feed chickens do. I paid for other expensive fancy feeds for years, n most expensive Purina specialty duckling feeds killed some and dumor almost lot others, co-op n Cumberland mills adult layer crumbles adding niacin works lot better cheaper with more robust duckletts n adults. Course babies with adults run loose now too, feeding on whatever on property unfenced.

How important is adding Niacin? I get 100 lb bags of grower mash from my local mill to feed everyone. I soak it overnight, every night before feeding the entire flock the next day (turkeys, chickens, ducks). I've never added anything extra and my 3 muscovies have been growing well and thriving. They free range all day, every day and seem to find most of what they want while foraging but winter is coming up. Will I need to add niacin to the food and will it be ok for the rear of the flock?

Does anybody in this group live near St George, Utah...I have one female muscovy and really want to get her a scovy friend, the pearl leghorn chicken that she grew up with is turning into a jerk...
