Thank you @Miss Lydia
He's also butt too. I love him Too death but he loves to attack our male dog.
I would put a stop to that. He needs to learn to respect not attack.. Place a broom or long pole between him and your dog and stop him from attacking. Dogs can take alot but eventually he may retaliate. I had one who got snapped at by my gander one to many times she turned on him and got him around the neck.Thankfully we were there to stop any thing from progressing. I never let my ducks or dogs bully each other and I don't let them be around each other unless we're there too.

Do muscovies tend to get very territorial? I've noticed lately, while the ducks happily go to bed in the coop, more and more chickens are choosing to roost outside in the run instead. This is the first year I've had any type of ducks and in the 3 years I've had chickens, this is the first this has really happened (besides the occasional random group of young cockerels growing out)

Auroradream26. I believe it's all about the pecking order and the chickens knowing their place. I have both Muscovy and chickens. The chickens will try to dominate the female ducks but my big male Muscovy will always put the chickens in their place
