Muscovy keepers share your pics!

There hatch went amazingly well! There are now 8 little muscovy duckings tumbling around in my incubator :)

Edited to add: the 9th egg hatched so every baby made it and they're all healthy, happy and active!

They're soo precious! :love Completely adorable!

I know this our beloved Muscovy picture thread but I wanted to share this with everyone I hope it's ok. I was at work and went over to the pond to see if we had any visitors and there's was about 6 black bellied whistling ducks and one had these adorable little ducklings. The markings are just gorgeous. Hope everyone enjoys :loveView attachment 1822578 View attachment 1822580
Those ducks are really neat! Adorable! :love

Until the neighborhood Drake's come to bother them. It's just horrible with all the raping they have been doing. It's so sad

:( I know what you mean. Nearly all my Muscovy hens are broody, and as soon as they come off nest for a break, it's like all the drakes start chasing them at once. If I'm around when it happens, I guard the hens from the drakes. Not only that, but 2 of my drakes have a really mean habit of trying to pull the hens off their nests while they're sitting so they can mate with them. Mean drakes! :(

I'm glad I'm not the only one :yesss:
They say I'm turning into the crazy duck lady :lau I told them that's ok I don't mind. Yes ducks are really cute :D
Me too!
I'm also a crazy duck lady and I'm not ashamed of it either! I love being a crazy duck lady! It's my favorite hobby! Yes, ducks ARE cute! :D

Are you kidding me? That's horrible I know a few of the wonderful people on here are telling me that I need to get all the hens and babies put up so they can't get to them but it's been impossible to even get to close because they are all to scared. I have a female that is on my roof and she has her eggs up there because of this craziness so I don't know what to do about that but it's just out of hand with these drakes

I actually made some brown rice and had some left over so I threw it out and some stuck to the chicken wire and the duckling kept hopping up to get it. I give it to them as a little treat when I make it once and awhile but they love it.

My muscovy ducklings cuddling with my leghorn chick :) any tips on raising ducklings and chicks together??
