Right now, I’ve just got one molting. I’m glad that she’s getting on with it, as she had lost a bit of her water proofing, and I want her feather suit to be in top form by the time winter starts! Her sister and Daphne are just starting to look ever so slightly unkempt. Hopefully, they will either molt soon or not fully molt at all this year. My other Muscovy hen is not very cold tolerant, and I’d hate to think of her not having her full warm suit once it gets cold. Daphne, in the 18 months I have had her, has only ever lost and regrown her pretty blue/purple speculum feathers (so far).Same thing going on here.
