Some muscovies I saw in Uganda, Africa.

While there were far more chickens there than ducks, I saw many more households with 'Scovies than turkeys. This trio shared a yard with about six more ducks of various ages. The people there laughed out loud when I said I had 'Scovies as well - I said they were American ducks!

(Muscovies do very well in Africa, as they are hardy and tolerate the heat well, so long as they have access to water.)

all of UR ducks R beautiful.
Do these ducks grow real large ? I am thinking about getting a couple of ducks & have not made up my mind. I prefer not a real large bird

It will B hard not 2 get 1 of these ducks. They R beautiful. will they do well alone or is it best 2 have 2 ? I think I know the answer 2 my dumb

hi bleenie, i havent weighed the mammoth duck but she's about three quarters of the size of my fully grown standard size drake or basically twice the size of my standards. i'm experimenting trying to get some size into my standard coloured birds by introducing some mammoth bloodlines into them. i live in town and the mammoths are too big for me to keep as a flock.

i'm happy with the silver drake, he stands really tall and hopefully he'll fill out well, he's only 8 months old at the moment. i'm not sure if you can see in the photo but he's a little bit barred. i'm aiming to breed the white out the necks of my birds.

i'm also hoping that the yellowish duckling is going to turn out fume coloured, thats bronze and blue at the same time. oh yeah i need it to be a duck too!
