I have a new mom who was sitting on six eggs. One hatched more than 48 hours ago. One egg looks blackish and the others look normal, but there does not seem to be any sign that they’re hatching. She's still sitting on the eggs, with the baby on top of her. How long will she stay on the other eggs?

I think it all depends. Mother ducks can feel the baby’s moving in the eggs so if she can feel them moving then she will still sit on them! And the egg that looks blackish is probably bad so I would take it but before you throw it out candled it to make sure there’s no life in it!
