Muscovy nesting questions

Thanks for all the replies. Sorry for the delay in answering, but I contracted pneumonia last week and haven't been up to reading, but didn't want y'all to think I was just doing a drive by with the questions. I've actually lurked here from time to time but never took the time to register.

Re: the grit My feeders have a compartment for grit and granite, which I make available free choice along with the waterfowl pellets.

Re: Breeding. Does anyone use a breeding pen setup for them, or just let nature take it's course?

Re: Locking them up at night. I do lock them all in the coop at night now. Should I also add doors to the nests and lock them in those as well?

Re: Rose's site: Yes, you have some fine looking ducks there. The various colors are lovely. I wasn't aware that there was so much diversity. When I got mine, they were the only ones I'd ever seen, and my main interest was fly control in my pasture, so I hadn't researched much on color.

Here's pics of a few of mine:

And for you, Rose, coincidentally, I also decided to add blue and black copper marans this year (along with welsummers). I have around 30 peeps in the brooding tank now.

I have a hen that is setting on 10 eggs. She is 3 days into setting.. I have only a pair and they have always been together. They are a year old.. My question is has anyone had their drake go into the nest box at night with their hen? Should I gate him off so he cant be bothering her? Will this stress her out and she leaves the nest?
I tried putting a log beside the nest box and it seemed to scare the both of them. Please help.. first time with muscovies and ducks period.
