HI. So hatch date is Wed I was surprised to see one of my Mascovy eggs had pipped yesterday. Well this morning there was no progress. I also was supposed to turn up humidity yesterday (was thinking 2 days not 3 of high Humidity.) I went ahead and removed a small bit of shell and punched the membrane so it can breath better. Well its now been over 24 hours since I noticed the pip. The egg is still very active, lots of cheeping, movement, and scraping. Has not started zipping. Im worried maybe the membrane dried out because I hadn't had the humidity up until 2 hours ago. Any adivce would be great thanks.

Leave it be. If you help out too soon it could kill it. Just keep a close eye. The fact it is still very active is good. It has air so it is fine. Don't open the bator up, keep the humidity stable.

Thanks for the advice. I left it alone for another 7 hours. Then it hatched. Woot first muscovy I ever successfully hatched.
