Muscovy questions

In my experience, muscovies do not start out laying 'pullet' or small eggs. I see absolutely no reason to not allow them to set their first clutch.

My other hen set in late february this year, all of her eggs died. all my other hens that I have had would usually set early-mid June. Thanks for the help, I guess I will let them set their first clutch then. Do you guys recommend splitting them up when they go broody, if they share a clutch or have their clutches close to each other, if the moms set together would that lower hatch rates? I saw a video where a guy was complaining about how is 2 hens set the same clutch of 30 eggs and only hatched 3 ducklings.
