mushrooming

Hi all Does anyone live in N.J.and do any wild edible mushrooming? This is one of my favorite hobbies but I only know of a few that I truly trust and was wondering if anyone know's the names of some edible type's that grow here in south Jersey ? The books never tell what 'state' A particular one grow's in, so I never know if I'm out looking for a certain one..it could not even grow in my state and I'm just wasting my time,ya know? I just need names,I will do all the nessary step's to be absolutely sure they are edible thanks...Craig

I was born and raised in South Jersey, spent a lot of time in the Pine Barrens but never got into mushroom hunting until moving to TN and seeing signs that read "No Dryland Fishing" (no hunting Morels) that people had posted along their property lines.
