Mushy belly syndrome

what would mushy belly syndrome in chicks just over a week old look like ? Would their belly’s actually be mushy???

Why do you ask? Do you have one chick with a mushy belly? Multiple chicks? Is mushy belly different from ascites?

The technical term for it is omphallitis and I’m not sure if they have mushy belly syndrome in trying to diagnose they are just over a week old their abdomens feel abit more mushy than other baby’s from a different hatch
