Wud up fellow chicken people. Recently moved to a small farm. I was given fertilized arucana? Eggs. Today is day 21. 4 of 10 are hatching. Losta peepin from 2 other 2 have cracks but not much change in 12 hours. Humidity n temp are 101 n 65% any input would be helpful. First timer as you can tell.

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Congrats on your hatched chicks :celebrate Everything sounds great with your eggs and incubator :thumbsup They can sometimes take more that 12 hours from pip to hatch so you have nothing to worry about. I've got chicks hatching right now too and some were pipped 18 hours plus before they hatched. Some can take upto 24 hours.

Here is a great article on incubating and hatching. It's a super read and very informative. Here is the link ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-eggs-101

Try not to worry as your eggs sound perfectly fine and normal.

Wishing you the very best of luck with the feast of them.

Enjoy BYC

Thanks. Waiting impatiently. We also have an abandoned goose. She was tiny 3 weeks ago huge now. We have always had animals but never birds. This goose (Henry) is better then TV by far I'm so happy it's silly I'm a grown up so I'm told

Oh yes the waiting, it's a nightmare :barnie I have 27 in lockdown and 10 have hatched so got a little longer yet to wait :pop

All animals make great TV and it's much healthier being outside in the fresh air watching. I'm not keen on geese got chased a few times by them and it put me off. Henry sounds great though, good luck with her.
