I live in downtown indy and have a decent space for chickens. I decided to add to my 8 chickens.
Coming soon
- lavender orpington (hopefully worth the money)
-black copper maran
-olive egger

I also just bought 2 ducklings to cohabitate with my chickens, I REALLY want an Ameracauna. PLEASE someone talk me out of my poultry addiction?

sorry cant help ya my addiction is worse than yours plus dont let ducks live with your chickens is not good for your hens i mean really not good for your hens

Why not? I've done tons of research and it says as long as the coop stays clean and dry it's fine. I would love to hear your insight!

I'm not sure if this is what Gatorshark75 is referring to....but during breeding season male ducks get a ridiculous amount of hormones going. So much that their testis actually triple in size. Drakes are notorious for getting really aggressive with females, they can even "gang bang" them...(sorry for lack of better term). Not to mention the have foot long quark screw penis'. Ouch.

yep thats exactly what i meant i just didn't know how to say it glad you did it for me i had a duck totally ruin one of my hens i had to put her down it was bad that was the day i got rid of all my ducks
