Must stop going to the feed store the day chicks arrive!

Went for kitty litter and food and came home with out the kitty litter and brought these instead....

The kittys were not happy. But they sure are cute huh? They are banties although I do not know the breed as the feed store didn't know. Anyone know?

That's how I ended up with 3 EEs.

I was early for dog agility class and thought I'd stop by this little feedstore down the road to look for poultry netting. I hear peeping and next thing I know I have not only 2 bags of poultry netting but 3 little chicks in a box.

I really don't know but they resemble a friends ISA Brown chicks. I'm sure somebody on this forum knows. They are adorable. Are they sexed or from a straight run?

They were supposed to be sexed, I believe from Ideal, the feed store gal said there was about an 80% accuracy rate.

I get mine from Ideal and they told me 90% accuracy. So far I have ordered pullets and that is what I got. They all lay eggs.

SO cute! Lucky your feed store doesn't insist on 6 at a time.. like ours do.. Thankfully, or not, the feed stores stop getting chicks in Sept..

There is only one feed store that I know of that gets chicks in my area and they only sell straight run. My wife has said "no more roosters", so no feed store chicks for me
