Must tell, can't keep it in anymore!

My daughter and her hubby have had these wonderful children for almost 3 months now, and they are blossoming (both children and parents). The natural mother has disappeared from the scene and hasn't visited her children in over a month, so the case worker says she's not going to be able to get them back. The only other hurdle is an aunt, but we haven't heard a word about whether or not she even wants these babies.

Next week is the hearing, if the mother even shows up for it. Hopefully, we will know for sure then that these babies are ours forever!

Praying for the best.

Your daughter sounds like a wonderful girl.

Oh, that hurts.

I'm sorry for your daughter. My mother was a foster parent when I was little. Even though Mom knew that all of the babies she took care of were only with us for a little while, she gave her heart to each one (from her, they went to adoptive homes). 50 years later, she still thinks about them sometimes.

I'm praying that the aunt will provide a warm, loving, supportive home for these children. Heaven knows, they need to find stability with someone!

It is just so unfair. My daughter and son-in-law love these two babies. They were told that there was no way that the mother would be able to get them back, but then all of a sudden they came up with this aunt.

The older one is having her birthday party today (3 years old). Tomorrow they will both be allowed to open their Christmas presents, since they are being taken away on Wednesday. My Christmas presents to them are in a box in the living room ready to send. I guess they will be going to Toys for Tots.

There are so many people out there who don't want their babies. My daughter wants one so badly but can't have one. We spent $!5,000 on in vitro. The first onen didn't work. The second one worked (with twins) but she miscarried them. Private adoption costs way too much. She just feels so lost and alone right now. I wish there was something I can do, but I can't even afford to fly out there right now.

My Christmas wish is that there is a baby out there for my daughter in the coming year.
