"Not again!" he screamed. Caleb lunged at Wildfire. He had one target: his ear! He grabbed it and pulled,hard! "Get off,before I pull your head off!"

Jake woke up. he heard moving. He jumped to his feet and ran over. he suddenly saw Tempest. "what are you doing?!?!?! I thought you were an enemy! Whew!" he nuzzled her. "What are you doing out here?" he asked.

Wildfire screamed as Caleb's teeth dug into his ear. That was too much, and the bay stud slid off Typhoon's back, spinning to yank his ear out of Caleb's mouth. Lunging, he aimed his bared teeth at Caleb's throat. "I'll bite your head off!"

Tempest allowed Jake to nudge her toward Beauty, but she wasn't happy about it. She was discovering that she preferred the life of a loner as apposed to sharing her stallion.
