Caleb smiled at that. "That makes me very happy,for more than one reason..." he said wolfishly,trying to tease Typhoon. Then he sighed. "I just wish I didn't have to force Monsoon,I still feel guilty."

"It isn't?" Tempest didn't look up from grazing. "You've had other experiences with big cats?"

Typhoon flicked her tail, dropped her head and nipped at Caleb's front leg. Straightening up, she trotted a few yards away, whinnying playfully.

Monsoon glared at her twin, as though Typhoon had lost her mind.

Typhoon flicked her tail, dropped her head and nipped at Caleb's front leg. Straightening up, she trotted a few yards away, whinnying playfully.

Monsoon glared at her twin, as though Typhoon had lost her mind.

Jake sighed. "Yes." he said simply. "Before I cam here..."

Caleb went after her,his massive hooves thundering.

The mares trotted faster. Miley whinnied,as did Casey. They looked over the hill,and saw lots of horses,including two stallions,one large one small. The mares whinnied enthusiastically.

Jake looked at his duaghter. "Nothing child..." he said absently

Jupiter sighed. She was so hungry. She went over to Beauty and began to nurse.
Beauty smiled, a chill went down her spine every time Jupiter nursed.

Tempest snapped hungrily at grass. She'd had her fair share of encounters with predators, too. She wondered what made Jake's sound so much worse.

Typhoon spun around and reared playfully. Suddenly, she shouted, "Look out!"

Monsoon was racing up behind Caleb, her teeth bared.

Jake watched his mares nurse. He wanted to get better and join them. He walked gingerly over to the watering hole and rolled. He got up refreshed. he still felt small pangs,but he was a lot better. He flexed himself and trotted around. he shivered as he passed the cougar's body. He didn't like it. He stepped over it and urinated on the body again. He sniffed it,then urinated again for the third time.

Caleb dodged to the side. He saw Monsoon. "Baby,I'm sorry about what happened..."

He flexed himself and trotted around. he shivered as he passed the cougar's body. He didn't like it. He stepped over it and urinated on the body again. He sniffed it,then urinated again for the third time.

Tempest watched Jake and heaved a sigh. She was growing ready to mate again, but she doubted Jake would, or could, be up for it. The strawberry nickered to Tornado, who was playfully pawing at his half-sister. Hearing his dam, the colt turned and trotted to her. Together, they moved off, Tempest searching for tastier grass, grass Jake HADN'T peed on!

Monsoon skid to a stop in front of Caleb, her nostrils flaring. She listened but said nothing.

"Can't you get over it? It was either him or that skinny stud." Typhoon was standing safely behind Caleb, out of Monsoon's reach.

Jake shook his shoulders. He wasn't in top condition,but he was always ready to mate,even if he had just gotten torn up like a mountain lion. He trotted around Tempest,attemting to qourt her.

Caleb lowered his head. "I'm sorry,I'll never do that to you again."
