Mutant Double Egg

we have had wicked weather with flash flooding and thunderstorms that last for hours. Loud too, nit normal.

My girls are young at 6 months but lay regularly. Poor things freaked over over the past few days. Yesterday one of them layed this oddity. When we cracked it open there was a second fully formed soft shell egg inside. (Counter-peristalsis contraction)

With egg laying a little off they'll need a spa day to relax. Any tips on helping keep them calm?

Ignore noodles in the pan please. Had a great stir fried noodle dish last night

I just wanted to say how crazy that egg is. I see larger double-yolkers mentioned but that one just seems So so HUGE!! Poor birdie!!

I know! LOL. Poor girl. She'll need a double shot of something strong.

Thanks for sharing the photo. I've never see a fully developed egg inside an egg.
