Gracie perked her ears up. She heard a scratching above her enclosure. "I didn't know there were cages above us..." she said as a creature came crashing through. It shook itself. "I'm Verra" it said.

Katrina knocked again, this time louder. "Help!" she said, her voice sounding strange because she was in the water.


Darkheart whimpered. No one would ever hear her. She would never get out. As she sat down, the chains around her wings clinked loudly and echoed across the room.
