She's speaking!
This morning I thought I heard something different coming from their brooder, but it was faint and I didn't hear it again so I dismissed it. Then, later, I heard it again, and realized Hobbes was cheeping! It was very quiet at first, but as the day progresses she's been getting louder, almost like she's getting used to it. As I type this, she's almost as loud as Cuddy.
I must admit, I am
relieved. Even though I was positive she was healthy, I couldn't help but imagine something attacking her, and her not being able to cry out so that I would have a chance to come running and help her.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what on earth was causing the delay?
