I raised my first chick this year. She's a mutt and I love it.
Her dad more than likely is a Light Sussex. I have another rooster but he doesn't get much. He's an EE I think. Look at the pics and tell me what you think
I have no idea who the mother is. The hen that sat on her eggs had been sitting in the box for 2 weeks but I kept taking eggs from her so I doubt it's hers but surprisingly the chick looks a lot like the broody hen.
My chick is black/white/grey. Very very white on her breast. I do have a Silver Laced Wyandotte but she doesn't lay any more.
