Hi guys, I have 30 hens and about a week ago I saw that one was ill. I separated her to keep an eye on her but the other chickens could still see her, stand next to her etc so she wasn’t taken completely away from the others. She is now better and a couple of days ago I put her back in with the others and now some of them are really attacking her and she is so scared to do anything. Was this because she was seperated even though they could all still see eachother and is there a way I can make them stop attacking her? Thankyou

How big is the coop and run, in feet by feet?
Dimensions and pics would help immensely here.

How long was she separated?
How big is the separation space?
Big enough to put another bird or two in with her?
Try adding another bird until they settle, then maybe add another a few days later.
They will form a group and be easier to add back to the flock.

I’m really sorry but I’m not sure what the size of the coop and run is so when I go back there I will be able to tell you (my grandad owns land with chickens and sheep ect I don’t live there). I have kept her in the same seperated part for now but I might try and add a few chickens in there at a time with her to get them settled
She was seperated for about 5 days.
The separation space can fit about 4/5 adults (so sorry I don’t know the exact
measurements) but I would be able to get another chicken or two in there with her.
I should start getting measurements of things for problems like this!!!!
