My 1.5 year old Wheaten Roo has a very weak crow. Please help!

I have a problem with a 1.5 year old wheaten roo. He has barely been able to crow for 2 days, it is just a very, very weak version of his normal crow. Our weather in Virginia has been very wet and it is next to impossible to keep their run dry, The roo is in a different coop and run than the young chickens. Could this be related to the problem I had with the young chickens. The young chickens seem fine now. I pasted the original.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? He is my only wheaten roo and really I don't want to lose him or any for that matter)!

If you all can't tell I am very new to chickens and just began with them recently.



Original Problem:

"I had a 12 week old wheaten americauna that had seemed to have a cold (sneezing) and within about day became lethargic and died. I was looking for antibiotics for her but couldn't find the tylosin locally. Today, I noticed while looking at products online that the "VetRX" formula indicates it is for chickens with colds and among other maladies.

Can someone enlighten me on this? Do chickens catch colds?

This chicken seemed to be gasping for breath just before she passed. Any ideas? I am worried about my other chics she was housed with. All of the other chics have been vaccinated for Merek's and are on medicated feed to prevent Coccidosis.

Any ideas what she may have had? Suggestions for the other chics (which seem fine and non are sneezing)?

From your original post, it sounded as though your chicken had a respiratory disease. I'm not sure why you would treat them with Corid for coccidiosis for that. There seems to be a disease going through the flock now, so you might want to get some antibiotic started. Mycoplasma is fairly common as well as choryza. Tylan50 is a good antibiotic, Duramycin-10, Albon or DiMox, and Denagard are others. Many of these diseases are chronic and can come back, as well as infect new birds brought into the flock. Thank you very much. I am very new to this. My other bird had the fluffed up feathers and there was bloody stool in the run that I believe cam from her. After treating with the corid, the other young bird I worried about seems better.

The roo is in a totally separate coop and run that isn't close to the young chics. So, I didn't know if it would be related. I have been treating Roo and his hens with the Corid in the water too just in case. I just came back from cleaning the roo's run and there was bloody stool in that run. He is in with 3 NH red hens about 5 months old and a wheaten hen about 4 months old so I don't know who that bloody stool came from. I am just very concerned and have absolutely no idea what is going on.
The other problem is that I am having a hard time finding poultry meds locally. Thank you very much for your input!

I found some liquamycin LA-200 injectable. I suspect some of my chickens have Mycoplasma or choryza.
Does anyone know the dosage for this version oxytetracycline? This instructions only give dosages for bovine and swine usage.
