My 1 year old Chicken acting strange . Help please

Hi over a month ago one of my chickens got into a fight with a cat we think. She wasn’t hurt bad. She has been closing her right eye allot. Ever since then she has been acting not herself. She is eating and drinking she looks fine . Just not acting like her old self . Not sure what’s going on with her we have checked her out for everything nothing else is wrong . Please help feel so sorry for her

She could possibly just be affected from the fight and is behaving differently because of it. It kind of depends on what her "old self" was like. Is she less curious? More careful? Not as fast to go running towards the newest thing? That would all make sense for a, in simple terms, traumatized chicken.

As for her eye, do you have any pictures of it, and can you open her eye without hurting her?

She was more active not she is laying around and not with the rest of the hens . Her eye look fine when I open it it’s not swollen or red . She closes sometimes not all the time .

I don’t know . Maybe. I think she is on the bottom of the pecking order . What can I do about that ?

Usually they work it out themselves. Of course if the bullied hen is kept from food or water you will have to step in. Offer multiple feeding and water stations. Clutter the run so that there are hiding places. (but not dead-end traps). And most important is to assure they have lots of room in both the coop and the run. If all else fails, chicken jail for either the bully or the harassed hen.
