My youngest got under the surface saddles at 10-11 weeks. I would think it's pretty unusual for that much saddling at 10 weeks.

I've had quite a few early saddlers this year. Both from my flocks, & a hatchery.

I just wanna be 100% sure all are pullets before I make my final decision.

Lol sorry, I didn't mean to come across like that.
I'm used to the general rule of 'visible saddles at 12 weeks' and any time chickens don't go by the rules - which they often don't - it shakes my opinion.

Love that cockerel. Really gorgeous guy.

Thanks all. I haven't seen any standout saddle feathers as of yet. The back feathers are all rounded at this point.
