Hi, i'm a new chicken mom. I have 4 buff orphington pullets and 4 barred rock pullets. One of my orphington's voice is changing. It's deeper and sounds like she is honking. Is that normal? Thanks!

At around 11-12 weeks, I always notice the pullets' voices becoming nasal. Also, the heat will do that. My own Orpington pullets are about 15 weeks and they honk constantly when they pant, poor hot things. The Orps are the worst for that, seems to me; even my 3 yr old Buff Orpington hen does it when she is panting heavily.
