My 17 day old silkies bantam chicks have bumps around eyelids. Does anyone know what I should do.

Does any one know what is this?

Thank you for your responses

On a baby chick that is mostly white, I would think that you could see mites or lice by parting the skin. I wouldn’t bathe them, but if you already have done that, keep them warm and dry well.

Edited to correct to “by parting the feathers or down.”

Agreed. Chicks aren't like puppies, they don't do well with baths. They can easily get terribly chilled and that can be a death sentence for a chick. I hope you chose not to bathe them, or if you did, you kept them warm enough while they dried! Any time I've needed to bathe a chick for any reason (for example, bathing a rear end for removal of dried poo) it's only a small part of the chick, and I keep them extra warm while they dry - I've even been known to pop them into my running incubator's hatch tray to be in a comfortable warmth while they dry off.

It's potentially possible they have been pecking at each other, and those are just inflamed areas of spots that were bitten by other chicks. They don't really look right for fowl pox, at least any varieties I've seen pics of before. Just my two cents' worth.
