Probably the most common problem with broodies is the interference of other chickens into the broody's nest. Hopefully your hen is in a spot where she will be left alone and undisturbed. Limit inspections especially at the time of hatching. Good luck.

Did you mark the eggs so that you can check the nest and make sure that none others have found their way in? Other than that, if she is in an open area where others can lay I would check the nest daily and take out the extras and let her do the rest of the work. Good luck!!

Absolutely no way another egg could show up :) She is housed with a female Khaki Campbell and that is it. I put a divider up between Iris and Hamilton(Duck) So they now chatter over the divider :) Iris(Chicken) Sometimes hops off the eggs and jumps the divider and goes outside for a stretch and goes right back in :)

The Eggs she is sitting on are 4 Lavender Opringtons and 2 Marans. :) You could deff tell if she layed an egg in there but she isnt laying since i gave her those eggs :)

Then it sounds like you are good to go.
