My 2 favorite roosters...

Our Jabberwocky was a surprise. He was supposed to be a hen. He is beautiful and respectful but he just learning how deal with the ladies in the flock. Here he is as a chick, cockeral, and finally today. He is about 9 months old now.

He is stunning his coloring is just amazing! They change so much from chick to adult. I have a 9 or 10 month old roo that is also learning his way around the hens. My girls usually beat him since he's still just a boy.

Thanks, he is quite handsome. Oh he takes his licks, especially from my alpha hen, Patsy. Here is a video of Patsy (the black hen) reminding him he's not completely in charge. Pasy had just knocked him off of Hattie (the lavender orpington) and he was not happy with her. He makes a move and she shuts him down. He's got a lot to learn.

That video is hilarious he certainly don't know what hit him!

I was so lucky to catch it. I was watching them on my camera in the run when Patsy knocked him off Hattie. So I started recording in case it happened again and I caught this.

The changes in the flock have been fascinating since he reached maturity. He surely is not in control yet

Yes I agree. The changes that occur are amazing to me. One of my older hens would not give Hugo the time of day when he was coming into maturity. She was mean to him and would run. Now that he's alpha she's decided to be his woman.

This is Olaf my big sweetie. Wanting to sit in my lap.

These are my twins Heckle and Jeckle. Born same day and from same hen and rooster. They are exactly alike.
