my 2 new muscovies

I just picked them up. They are so tiny!!! They hatched yesterday and I got to pick from about 20. It was so hard to just come home with only 2. I am excited to see that they feather out as and what genders.

OMG!! those are just adorable!!

i had a bunch that looked like your white one, but with blue legs and pink/blue beaks, they feathered out blue barred...not sure on yours though.

the spriped one looks maybe chocolate

I just hatched a "solid chocolate" named her hershey, shes just adorable

they were hatched out by a momma so do they need as much heat as an incubated one?? Can they go in water earlier with the oils they got from momma??

I would treat them as any new baby and keep them good and warm and not take them swimming til they produce their own oils. Good luck with them they are precious.

I have my new hatch-ling in with some chicks in the brooder. They have a dish of water with rocks in it so Hershey can get into it on the rocks and clean herself off, she does it all the time.

i waited til my older babies were a couple weeks old til i let them go swimming in a small pool. the love it now

aw the classic 'leg stretch' my duck does that when hes reaaally comfy, its so cute. he used to do it more when he was rly young

I love them. Other letter yesterday with duck hens and I have hatched 2 choc. in the bator... I don't know how many that I have now..
