blue silkie sibling to above chick, this is the one that had an unabsorbed yolk, still doing great!!

out of 6 eggs, 2 hatched and this is my lone frizzle

out of 8 chicks ordered from ideal and 8 eggs hatched i have: 4 EE's, 2 NN's, 3 blue silkies, 2 splash silkies, one columbian cochin (frizzle carrier) and one white frizzle

i can't wait to see them feather out! more pics in a couple of weeks!

Nice lookers! Good job on hatching, photography- I just learned that silkies have 5 toes, how funny. It never connected that the toe count was different on birds - hah ah

You did great pics for your first time. Not blurry at all like mine! Nice looking chicks.
Funny I didn't know there were others out there that liked Turkens as much as I do. I have 2 girls, 1 blond and 1 black. The eggs come out darker brown at one end and get lighter twards the other end. I call it tye-dye. Very cool.
My last name is Durkan so I had to have "The Durkan Turkens"!!!! LOL!

thanks everyone! i love my chicks dearly and i can't wait until they start to feather out and i can tell what sexes they are, i'm tempted to keep all of the ones i hatched out because it was my first time. more pics in a couple weeks!
