My 2012 Breeding Muscovys *Pic Heavy*

Thank you very much!

Well. When you show them there are Cocks and Cockerels in most shows.. (Some have Old Drake and Young Drake) So all the young drakes I usually call cockerels.

You mean his caruncling? The red stuff? Well.. These birds are showbirds so they have much more caruncling then most Muscovys. It used to say 'the more the better' (Not sure if it said it exactly like that) But now they took that out of the Standard. So some people still think the more the better.. Well All the birds in P2 are 6 months old.. So you can see they do get it pretty quick.

Can't wait to see more pics now that your camera is fixed

By chance, do you (or anyone else) have any muscovies that are both Blue and Lavender? Or Silver and Lavender? I'm wondering what those two dilutions would look like in the same bird.

Oh, and do you know how Blue, Silver and Lavender look with and without the Dusky gene?

BTW, if you're into taking pics and have so many colors, you should consider adding them to the Muscovy Genetic Calculator. There are some combinations there that have no pics.

Also once a bird is an adult its pretty hard to tell if not impossible what it was as a duckling. I have some that look exactly alike and one ws wild type, one dusky.. so.. unless you had them as ducklings.. good luck.
