to have that coop-Perfect!!!!! Good Job!!!

Great coop. Just keep an eye out for the following:
roof leakage
sharp metal or wood sticking out (birds could impage themselves)
rooten wood that may need replacing

Been on my 100 yr old "farmette" for almost a decade---always something to fix or get done. Keeps me out of trouble!

i didn't know there was such a thing - i employed 1 - 12 yr old and 1 - 14 yr old + 3 shovels if there is a easier way it sure might help the boys make it to their next birthday

for those of you concerned about the number of chickens well i have full intent of having 20 - 30 birds but the hatchery here close to me is sold out of chickens until next spring

i might order from the web in a month if possible but realistically i may just wait till next spring and get 25 at once right now i think i am good on perch space and lacking nesting box's. how many do i need ?

the reason i only have 8 now is because my wife wanted to take it slow (she said only get 6

i said well i only bought 6

)

i have a idea about the back windows .. i want to take all that is there off and update it a bit
in the back i want to make a door that is hinged at the bottom so that when it is open it becomes a ramp i can tie rope and pulleys to make it so i can close them up from inside the coop. i don't know what yet to do about the front window

I would post add on craigslist for a free widow. You can never have enough light. You could put a cement floor in it. I wonder, if you can polish metal siding? That would look way cool! It would look like a chrome toaster. Cool Coop!

That building looks pretty good for being built in the 50's. At least you know you have a sturdy foundation to build off of. Great work.

I just picked up 2 windows w/screens today for $5.00 each at Habitat for Humanity. People drop off unwanted windows or they are donated. they sell them cheap to help build new houses. Great finds there!!!!

Check your area and see if they have one. Well worth the trip
