Hi everyone.

I got my first hens a few months ago and in the excitement of picking them up I have forgotten the breads the breeder said they were. Would love any help so I can look into the breads a bit more.

Here is a photo I took the other day:

I think the one at the back is a bluebell? Other than that I don't have a clue!

Again, thanks for you help in identifying them.

Are you in the UK?

The bird on the left looks like a salmon Faverolles. The bird in front looks like some hybrid layer, like a black sex link. The grey bird could be a bluebell, another hybrid layer.

Yes, I'm in the UK. Is there different names for different places in the world?

I agree.

Black Sex Links are frequently marketed in the UK as Bovans nera. The Bluebell is a cross between a Rhode Island Red and a Marans.

The UK has different hybird layers than the US, and seems like more of them. I'm not sure we have bluebells here?

Hi, sorry it took so long to reply. I've not had time due to work being busy.

I have looked on Google for the breeds that you have suggested and most of the photos that come back look like my girls. (I really like the look of the male Faverolles! If I didn't have so many neighbours I would look at getting one).

Anyway, just wanted to say thankyou for your help in IDing them.
