My 3 week old chicks are kicking each other...

I know i have half males and half females but i can't tell which is which yet. They have a lot of space to roam but some are still kicking and pecking. Do all chicks kick or just the roos? Should I separate them?

Ive raised alot of chicks, but never saw one kick another. Do you mean bumping chests? All of them do that.

I have had three batches and never seen any of them kick. Chest bumping, like Speckled said is normal.....

my i week old sometimes stretch out their legs and accidentally kick the one behind them.

I have had some do that- they have so far been the roos that do that.
However, I have one that does that now- even does it to my hand, about a week and a half old, I dont know what sex it is, but I assume roo.

No, that means nothing about the sex. My pullets spar with each other. By six weeks, they begin to sort out their pecking order in the group.
