My $30 coop

We recycled some old fence panels and some 2x4s we had around, all we had to buy was hardware. The henhouse is my sis' old dog house.

Good job on spending only $30. I spent at least double that on screws alone!
The guys at the hardware store laugh at me every time they see me, and ask me how the chickens like their mansion.

Inside... its still a dog house

Gonna have to go through our scraps to see if I can make boxes and a roost out of it. We have like 10 screws left out of two boxes. And no staples left.

In my dog house coops I use dishpans for nesting boxes and fill them with hay. One of the dog houses is tall and I had someone build nest boxes in it and they never really use them! One thing I have learned is chickens are not fussy, they will make due with anything. I did put a roost inside across them and at night that is where they go, right to their roost.
