OH gosh! 30 bucks! When we checked out of the line at Menards our bill came to 600! It is an 8x8 house but still! Great job to you to recycle! We tried but all we found was paneling which we used!

It is a 10x4.5 run. Good to know about the next boxes, I've got some dog bowls that might work. I'm gonna have to put a roost in. They slept in the doorway last night

Its fake. We have a few rubber snakes all over a yard to try to keep the birds out of our garden. We move them around a couple times a day

Im not sure if you'll have the room...but I just saw the coolest nest boxes on another thread. They took 5 gal feed quality buckets and cut the lid in half, put them on there side several in a row and put a single screw through them holding them onto a 2x4. They said they got them from home depot someone else said they get them free from Wally World deli. I get mine from the donut shop for $1.50 (they get the jelly filling in them). I think that's what Im going to do later this summer when I redue the inside of my coop.

YEA!!! That is totally awsome that you are doing a recycled coop.. saved a tree I am sure!

I too have done a recycled coop and run.. I really need to post pics.. I think that I am going to enter the coop contest when it comes around. but I have asked everyone for anything.. I am only up to about 40-50$ I even had someone give me the chicken wire.... and it is a 17x12 run and 4x7 (and 4 feet tall) chicken coop.. I did have to buy the roof for the coop house.. (I had shingles but It would have really made it very heavy and hot inside.. so I bought the kind that is PVC wavey kind.. That is what really brought the cost up.. (it was almost devastating really, I was doing so well) We didnt buy enough so I have to get one more sheet.. But I am going to use it as a window kinda.. I am going buy an additional sheet to finish but I am going to get the clear one this time and sick it on each end giving light and with the vents the combo makes a window..
