Nice Job! Our coop cost us about the same. Hubby is a carpenter who always brings home wood, so they only thing we had to pay for was screws, hinges, and locks.

We also have 5 rabbits so money saved was great. Since these are our first chichens we didnt want to go overboard in case we failed, (like they died). We spent most of the money on the big 4x4s that the box is on, to keep it raised. We just so happened to have the paint. Also some 2x4s to frame out the nesting box. and some hindges for the tops to the nesting box. I have the ramp made now, and we are construting the entry door. My only concern is ventilation. My husband says its fine since there are some small gaps in the box between the wood. But we may come back to that. I still have to spend 100 bucks for a kennel roof so we didnt get that completely lucky. The who main box was a pallet shipping crate used to ship water vale parts from where my hubby works at. Here it is before paintSo, I have to ask, what did you spend the money on? Very creative way to use what you have on hand. We try do the same thing, but not as gracefully. Lol! Nice.
