My 5 little Liege Fighters

Aren't the hens all dark? I haven't seen any in person, but I have been interested in leige fighters for a bit. The roos are so beautiful. I bet the breeder could help you sex them. I can't wait for more pics. Adorbs! Thanks for sharing!

They are beautiful, wonder what adult ones look like

They are very large. The roos can get to 12 lbs and over 30" tall. The roos' color pattern varies, they come in grey, blue, and red, with the hens being mostly dark. I think the roos are quite gorgeous. They have game in them, but I see Greenfire's roos pictured together, so I doubt the version in the states is full game.

@Scrambles55 Absolutely! I can definitely share some! :love

I'll start off by showing some pictures of Mograine (male). I don't have any recent photos of him as he passed away very unexpectedly in late October.. He was as gorgeous as he was sweet and affectionate so it really broke my heart.

Oh and I found that their legs were definitely the earliest clue as to whether they were cockerels or pullets. I wasn't sure then if it was reliable, but now when I know what they turned out to be, I should've trusted it a bit more since those I thought had longer legs did end up being cockerels! Still probably isn't completely reliable, but at least in this case it was 100%! So when I get more Lieges I'll be paying more attention to that when trying to figure out what they are! :clap

Daelin's legs definitely looked longer than the more short and stocky Tyrygosa!

Here they were around 7 weeks old, long-legged Arygos next to one of the girls!

Good luck with your eggs! I'm in love with this breed! :love

@Ghosty I'm so sorry I missed your post! Thank you!!
I've seen Liege hens in all colors, so it seems they aren't always all dark! :love But I don't know, perhaps it's more common with dark hens!

@Mos ... thank you so much for the pictures. They look amazing. I’m really not sure what I will do with mine if they hatch. My hubby doesn’t like to hear roosters crow (I do) and I don’t know if it’s allowed in this area.
I have several different breeds in the incubator.
I have 4 hens right now and they are 9, 6, 4 and 3. So.... freezer camp might be in their future.
Thank you again and I will keep you updated on my eggs. :thumbsup
