my 6 week old frizzle sophia is pacing

sophia my frizzle is 6 weeks old and she is pacing her cage she is by herself in her cage because the 23 baby chicks are only a week old and im afraid to let sophia be around the smaller ones but i think she is pacing because she is lonely.. well she could be a he not sure yet. my my three golden girls are outside.. there 5 months old and i think they would be too big for her anyways.. is she pacing because she can hear all the other chicks and she wants a friend.. or is there something wrong with her..

Chickens are flock creatures. I would guess that she is pacing her cage out of boredom and the desire to join the other chickens. The only thing wrong with her is that she is socially deprived. I agree that there is a fairly strong possibility that 'she' is really a cockerel.

really her comb is so small.. we take her out daily and play with her.. there are some bigger chicks in my baby area should i put them in with her..is she old enough to go outside with the others now..ivenever raised babies before so i dont know what age to put them outside.. also my baby chicks are a week old when do they not need the lamp anymore.. i have a 50 watt lamp on them now and there are 8 out of the 23 that still love it and their my smaller ones
