My 7-month-old duck was injured very badly.

Do you know if the bowel was punctured or did it look untouched? Just having a dirty bite wound into the abdominal cavity would have a high risk of sepsis. I have worked in surgery, and a human wound would require flushing the wound, and antibiotics to prevent fecal bacterial infection. I do hope she survives, but her chances are not very good. Intestines will kind of shut down peristalsis for some time after handling. So yes, offering food right now might be more harmful. Let us know how she gets along.
As far as i can see her bowel were not torn. She is not eating any food.

She died.😓😞
So sorry to hear this. Please know that you tried your very best to save her but sometimes when they get attacked there is nothing we can do. I am so sorry as I lost two of my favorites to a raccoon a couple of weeks ago and I feel your pain. You are in my prayers as this type of loss can be hard to deal with.

I feel sorry for your ducks too. Your words really touched my heart. Thanks for everything. God bless you.
