After really bad experience of my first baby quail that died from drowning in this thread.
another 9 eggs all hatched safely.
I seriously didn't expect them all to hatch...
I give them a temporary name as No.2 - No.10 for now. ( No.1 was the one that died )
I have been treating them equally by holding them, being in their sight all the time and giving hand feed.
they're all pretty tame as they're not scared of me but not all of them are really attached to me.
but No.2 and No.3 are the ones those like to be held and patted but other prefer snuggling on a dust cleaner instead.
I'm considering about keeping No.3 because it's really unique quail.
This guy actually looks at me when I call it and if I put my hand in the cage it will be only one that will run on my hand and sit in so comfortable.
but one thing that I'm worried is.. if this one was a male...
Hopefully not..
now it's 3 weeks old today and it's still hard to see if it's male or female.
The thing is I gotta pick only 1 of 9 quails with me to be my hen's companion.. I really don't wanna keep any more roo because my roo that's its father is really an aggressive crazy bird... I don't have space for another cage.
8 of quails will be sold in pet shop (I already deal with the merchant). I don't want any of them end up to be food because I did a lot of effort to make them're really used to human.
I have some of their videos and pictures when they hatched and some activities.
but first.. meet their parents..
Father
Mother
and the groups of babies
I changed the paper everyday.. it's getting dirty really fast.
I was lucky that I record this when No.2 was pushing itself out of the shell.

I put them in the card board box while changing their bedding..

The latest pic of No.3 is sleeping on the water container.
I'm really happy on the result.
after the first one died I put more extra fertile eggs in the incubator because I expected just some of them to hatch but all of them hatched safely.
