I don't waste money on make-up. I'm on this farm 99.9% of the time and the critters don't care what my face looks like, as long as my hands contain treats.
I buy the same face cream I've always bought ($7 a jar) and the same body cream ($12 a jar). What I'm addicted to is shampoo and conditioner. I think it stems from my frustration that my hair, once my crowning glory, has gone dry and brittle since menopause.
Last night I bought a new brand of shampoo and one of conditioner, though my old bottles are still half full. I really wanted to try the new aveeno shampoo, but I'm not about to pay the outrageous price.
Anyhow, I put the new bottles in the shower and moved the old stuff to the bathroom cabinet, where they joined 20+ bottles of old stuff; all different brands.
I know what to use the old conditioners for (makes great shave cream), but what do I use the old shampoos for?

Perhaps you can use those old shampoos for hand washables. You'd only need a drop or two, so that would take you a few years....

At least you'd be using them up!

I use mine for hand washing. Especially wollens. After all, wool is like sheep hair, right?

Shampooing and conditioning my sweaters makes them so soft and smell so nice!

I put it in hand soap dispensers in the bathroom, often cheaper than hand soap.

Sometimes I use it on the dogs when I've run out of dog shampoo.

Yes, mix them all up so you have a designer flavor and use it as hand soap. ALSO a lot of people don't believe me when I tell them this, but shampoo will take GREASE out of clothes. My husband is in Industrial Maintenance and his jeans are COVERED in grease everyday when he comes home. Take some shampoo and a toothbrush scrub some into stain, let sit 10 or 15 mins then pop into washer. Voila, no more grease! It will work on most stains.

Try the conditioner. It works even better.
Thanks y'all for the ideas. I want to clean out the bathroom closet, so maybe I'll find a big bottle to condense them all into.
I have screw worm spray and bottles of iodine from the 70s in my bathroom closet. How many people can say that?
