Long ears for a piglet!!!!

OMG Deb those are sooo cute. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that one of the white skinned ones is a buck I'm so looking forward to getting a baby from your Deb. Definately take lots of pics. And they all look nice sized too, I actually have never lost any after the first 24 hours cept for the momma that freaked when a coon got into the barn and she stomped her babies to death.

I didn't blame her though because of the coon getting in to the barn. Just make sure all of them are getting nice full bellies and growing. Good luck!

There is chance there are at least two ruby eyed whites, could be 4, but 2 could also be broken fawns. And I am pretty sure I have a broken blue. If that is the case I am SOOOO keeping that one.

I would just watch her closely and try to keep anything from startling her for at least the first week. Usually after the first 3-4 days you can tell if she can handle feeding all of them and if she is being a good mom. Don't fret too much!!!! They look very healthy and so far it sounds like you have a good doe there!!!

She sits up when I venture in there, but no more than that. No anxiety at me handling them at all. I feel VERY fortunate!!!!!

That is great!!! If she was a pretty tame doe before she kindled then you should be fine handling her and the litter, some of the more high strung does will kill their litter if spooked or "momma human" handles the babes too much. I am so envious !!!! Sounds like you have some great colors especially the blue !!!! I would definately keep this momma and breed the same pair again if all goes well. watch the babes progress though because that is a pretty big litter!!! If you get a chance I would love to see pics of the parents too!!

Frustrating because the pics I have of the parents are not compatible with BYC uploads, and I REALLY wanted to show them at full hair growth. They are pretty short right now. I think I have a picv of the buck on FB I can copy though.... BRB.

All 9 are still alive and wiggling and well. Artanna is a good mama!!!!! Hard to tell what sex they are at this point. Pics on Monday for an update!
