I just got some new week old cochin chicks last night:

the black one is Willow, and the white/yellow one is Saffron

Does anyone have any tips for helping me raise them? they already are pretty friendly and i have them on chick starter with grit and with hay bedding

but i haven't seen them interested in thier water... i've even tried dipping their beaks in, but they aren't interested

They're adorable!

My Delawares only seem to drink at certain times of day. My husband was worried they weren't drinking, but I saw them drinking before he got home. I have paper towels down in our brooder, so it's easy to see they are peeing fine. Can you tell if yours are tinkling as well as pooping?

You can put marbles in their water to encourage them to drink!! Super cute!!

Their pee is part of their poo.. The white part is pee, the brown part is... Well you know!
